My dear church family,
"if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself." 2 Tim 2:13
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against ithe schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one" Ephesians 6:10-13, 16.
These two scriptures have been such an encouragement to me. Since I have arrived in Philadelphia, arrows from the Enemy have been fired, it seems, nonstop. The enemy has been firing arrows of disbelief, and doubt. Often times I find myself doubting the inerrancy of God's word. I find myself doubting if God even exists. Having these doubts makes me even question the reason of sharing the gospel; thus, apathy sets in at times. I hate that I struggle with these sins and that the arrows are constantly coming. Yet, GOD prevails. He has blessed me in so many ways! He gives me the grace I need to focus my eyes on Him, to cry out to Him, to read His word and to trust Him. He is so faithful, especially when I am so faithless. HE is so kind, patient, and faithful to me. He reminds me that He is stronger than the enemy. He is my hope and refuge. Thank you my church family for upholding me to God through prayer. He is so good all the time.
Although arrows have been fired, God has blessed me at World Team so much. I arrived in Philly late Sunday evening where I met up with Lauren and Rich Kretzer. I am staying with them. Monday I rested and fellowshipped with them and their niece, Erin, and some friends of theirs. It was sweet. Since Lauren works for world team, I have gone to work with her every day since Tuesday. Here at World Team, I have had the great blessing to watch God work through World Team through Church Link. Church Link is a division in world team that sends church-based teams to the field. I have been blessed to work with them. Through my working with them, I am able to learn more about World Team and see how God is using them to further His kingdom! I really like the idea of sending church-based teams to the field. I have also been able to catch up with a fellow racer! Her name is Katie and she is planning to go to the UK with World Team. It's cool seeing how God has worked in her life this last year!
Even in the midst of struggles, God is so faithful! Praise be to Him! I love you all and am praying for you!
In HIM ALONE,
Danielle
